Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

BLOOIE!!!

Good to see you. What are you raising?

LISA!!! Nothing right now. Had to rehome the flock in August of 2017 because of our ridiculous travel schedule as Grand Master (in September we were only home for 4 days!) and some minor health issues I was having. Katie and Kendra miss them so much, so I've ordered a hodgepodge of breeds for late next spring. We lost our best chicken sitter when the kids bought a house and moved to the other end of town - Jenny would have to pack up Kendra and her wheelchair just to bring Katie over. Oh, sure Katie could walk over, but without her mom and dad across the street to help her if she ran into a problem or got hurt while we were gone, I don't want to risk it. Tam also bought a house and now she and Evan live in a different town 6 miles from here. So getting just a few, and will be very happy with that. No more chicken math for me!

Only fly in the ointment for new chicks and chickens is our little puppy, Fiona. Not sure how she's going to do with chickens. She'll be a year old by the time they arrive. Wanna see a picture of my puppy at 9 months old? Here ya go! :lau Yeah!

Ever see a living room disappear?

@Bettyboop7499 Be careful what you wish for! All of those cute, fuzzy little chicks turn into extra cleaning, extra feeding, extra treating for mites or whatever (should they get them, of course) and lots of things we don't think about when we look at those little faces. I've been the victim of "chicken math"...fortunately I'm now immune! Been there, got the T-shirt! :he
