They're all eating and drinking great (i think, only seen a couple) but they seem so cold.

Also now that they're hunkered next to MHP should I move some now that they know where it's warm? Or put a few under MHP where it's really warm? Or leave them alone? I didn't mean to force them to take a nap now, simply wanted them to know where it's warm, but I don't want to disturb them either because maybe they're just stressed and need to rest? Will they figure it out on their own?

Okay I forced everyone under MHP but left the light on in case they wake up and now I think I'll leave them alone for a bit but I hear peeping again so they probably woke up haha will they be able to come out of and go under MHP on their own? How long does it take? Because they seem to be having some trouble and/or just doing what all the other chicks are doing. sorry for all the posts and questions, I'm just worried. also, they stink already. could they not want to go under MHP because of the ammonia? should I take the shipping bedding out and leave the box and/or work on the wire frame today? Maybe that's why they hate it. They were asleep all night so plenty of poo. Should I bug them and take that gross bedding out? Hard to see with the shavings but I think the problem is the shipping bedding

They heard me scooping poop out of their feed and came running. Guess I have nothing to be worried about lol it seems to always be the same two though.

A third woke up and apparently the paper towel is easier than the feeder lol

What temp setting do you use for just hatched silkies, 6 didn't seem warm enough? I did a trial run last night before the chicks begin hatching tomorrow.
