Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

I saw some waterers like this at a recent poultry show...first time I'd seen these particular drinkers, so thought I'd share it here. These seem like they'd be ideal in a cage type brooder system if folks didn't want to use a nipple drinker. Works with a small pop bottle and the spring keeps it on the side of the cage. I really liked this as it doesn't depend upon the bird hitting a lever or rod of any kind in order to get a drink, just a gravity drinker. It would be easy to keep the water clean and out of the bedding if one were to place it high and put in a step for the chicks for accessing it. I often use a brick for such things.

OhSweet!!! So glad you posted this!
Have one of these from cocketiels long ago, but it fits on like a test tube which is long gone and plastic part was too chewed to use anyway.

12:35 am doing a bator check and herd first internal peep, no external pips yet.
WooHoo!!

First external pip this am.

Good Luck @COChix !!

Hatching is done for me (for now)..last chick, wrong end side pipper, I helped(always a tossup and risk) and it got out and is strong put in brooder this morning.
Postmortems to be done later after bator cools...10 hatched and 6 mill chicks all doing great.
One thing about I dislike about MHP is getting a hold of them for inspections(couple had navel issues to check)....
....so went mini bungie to hold MHP up for access, worked good!

I am joining the ranks singing your praises today!

I just ordered 10 of these, They will do wonders and keeping the brooding pens dry!

Of course, I had to check Amazon first even though I have an account at Gundogs. Amazon is way more expensive on these!

So thanks!! I have been looking for something like this and just not found the right thing.

I looked around a bit too.
What was the shipping from gundogs?
I do not have an account there, do you have to have one to order?

shipping was $5.95 for the cheap way, whatever they decide it is.

No you do not need an account, I just happen to have one because I bought some hunting dog supplies there a couple years ago. They were really good to deal with, the only thing is they will spam you with "offers" in your email.
