Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Actually, I get MORE wasted and spilled feed with those, I've stopped using them. The best it's gotten is to suspend a hanging feeder form the top of the brooder and raise it bit by bit. I still have some spills, but it's not as bad. But still some...
Yep ..... but its ME that spills it all getting the dang things open and shut to fill then skipping trying to open them and trying to fill through the holes.....

Got 6 ducklings and 18 chicks under one pad right now. With all the body heat in the cave, I only need to run it at the medium setting.
Have we seen a pic of that yet?
(wish the 'view all' recent images was listed in newest first order)

Do you raise them up together or just to start. I have chicks and Bantam ducks coming Thursday and thought it might be easier to watch them after shipping if they are all together for a bit?

I'm sure glad we have folks on here who know the answers to ducks, geese, peacocks, guineas and quail. I always feel so stupid when those come up because I honestly don't know! I know they've been covered elsewhere in thread on several occasions but I can never remember what the poster said.

One side of the frame is at duck height, the other at chick height. You can make out a duck in the very back with all the chicks.
Thank you! Im guessing Ill probably have to adjust it when they get here. Hubby is talking about making me something that has different hights to it so I can mone it up and down
