Excellent! Have you seen this:I find the MHP idea very appealing and have designed a brooder (or jail or hospital) into my coop design so when my coop is finally finished and I am ready to introduce new chicks into my flock this feels like the way to go to minimize social disruption.

If you get your chicks from a hatchery or farm store, you don't need to quarantine, IMO.But I am worried about quarantine. Elsewhere on this site people say you should quarantine for at least 30 days. But by then the little chicks would barely need the MHP and will be quite large.
So how do you guys handle the quarantine issue when using this method to introduce new chicks?
