Oh my gosh! i saw this in one of my chick groups yesterday and showed it to my husband.... guess who wants to put it on our shed now???

Well, I moved Nilky and babies onto the porch and decided the preteens are big enough to stay out... like I said.. it’s completely covered and they still have their dog crate they can go in AND I put two large blue tarps on either side of the run... Im a little paranoid

Today two of my little chicks decided to show a bit of Roo-ness in their combs! not sure if i'll keep the welsummer to fatten him up or might find a new home for them.


The smallest of the Wels is being picked on so trying to keep an eye on her.

The chick socializing drama continues.... I went out to feed and bring fresh water if needed for the morning....and i nearly screamed as Toasted looked like she was gushing blood. As soon as I picked her up i realized it was the Cecal... oh she smells so bad!!! poor thing just looked at me like "heeeellllppp mmmmeeee". tried getting some off but they're feathers help it cling. Gonna try an old wash cloth in a moment. I think one of the older girls did it to her. Whole new meaning to "poo on toast"

I tell you.. these chickens!! and their antics! I don’t always have the patience for... my BO has gone broody.. and when I take her off the nest and put her down the bully Wyandotte feels the need to attack!!! .... she has turned me off for anymore Wyandottes.. that’s for sure ... I just learned that they really only like other Wyandottes... raciest!
