Just got in the door and just unwrapped all the eggs from cpartist. They are beautiful and all arrived safe and sound. The Wellie egg (top row on left, second egg) she sent me is as dark as the Marans eggs. Beautiful CP THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

I know right?!?!?! I don't care how many roos I hatch out 'cause I eats 'em.......I might want to think about getting a bigger freezer though.

Did you see that purdy purple one in the front left corner? That is from my darkest laying BC pullet. The one before this one was not speckled but just lavender...it's in the 'bator too.

The Wellies don't have the glossy finish of the Marans though.

Lisa...you were wondering about the size of the BLRW egg...those are the pink ones in pink's box. They look a bit
larger than they are because they are rounder....and my Marans are not JUMBOS

like yours. But they've only
been laying 6-8 weeks so I think they'll end up large-to extra large.

Lisa thinks those big butted girls should be laying emu eggs

yes I did...! I was staring at it...if it were an oncoming car I would be dead right now....I couldn't stop looking at it! I am not a fan of purple in itself, but that mauvy earthy purple on an egg is to die for!

I posted some pics of the splash babies I hatched today...I know how you love the splashers

CP~ I know I always say a Wellie egg shouldn't be as dark as a Marans, BUT may change my mind after having this one in my hand. I can't help but admire the beauty of it.

HONESTLY, those BLRW eggs don't look too shabby. . .
They look like they are bigger than my itty bitty speckled sussex eggs.

Off course EVERYTHING looks itty bitty next to some JUMBO eggs

Those girls aren't big enough for emu size eggs. .. maybe duck size eggs would be more appropriate.
