That's too bad you had to move, but its great you have some poultry to work with! They really are so rewarding. Its awesome in a residential type area you are able to have them and have the room for a garden!
We are only about 10 minutes from where we were before so all though it's considered residential, there are still a lot of farms surrounding us. We live in about an acre, though it's in a weird shape. Still leaves us plenty of room to have our children's huge playground with room to run around in, a medium sized coop (we are starting with a 12X4 coop divided in 3 and a 12X16 run), and a pretty nice sized garden.
