That isn't a half bad idea to maybe help me get through til I can get some more building done. Knowing my luck ( and propensity for being klutzy) I would probably get zapped.

It isn't the end of the world if you get zapped but it is certainly deterrent!! (The little plastic sign with the big lightening bolt usually backs humans right off my fence without them even having to touch it!!! Dogs AND coyotes learn by the zap method.)

Yes, but unfortunately, people, especially drunk people, aren't that smart!

Heaven help them if they pee on it - and I've seen it happen. THAT, they will remember!!!

Yeah...the cemetary used to be a major party place when the tree coverage was thicker and when I was younger...for a long while it was a drug dealing place...people had a place in a big tree where they would drop the money..and a while later would come by...switch it out for drugs and so on....it got really old never having the police come out in time to do anything about it. Teenagers used to do all sorts of weird things there...I think its a beautiful place...just don't enjoy the crap that goes with it.

We have some neighbors that I really struggle with....they have pulled dirty things since I was a kid and you think they would let up...but no...just the same crap all the time. One of them is getting really old...but was a real estate agent and felt that when my grandpa bought the land he didn't deserve it, so has given my parents so much grief because of the serious grudge he had with my grandpa. I won't go into all the details of stuff he's pulled, but this is the majority of the reason why I really, really don't like it when people pry. My oldest brother has had words with him...I would be terrified to have my brother confront me if I didn't know him...he is a truck driver thru and thru and is as no crap as they come. Since then, the neighbor has backed off a bit, if he were the only one I had to worry about that would be one thing, but there are a couple more I have to watch close too.

here's the cemetary in winter...its a beautiful place

haha...my oldest brother got my middle brother to pee on an electric fence once....talk about shocked

Not long after that he then got him to grab the electric fence....I still can't figure out why he would do that...he's not a dumb guy, but could pull some real bone head moves sometimes haha

Vicki,

If they are going out there at night, try this. Get one or more of those Night Guards, you know, the boxes with the RED eyes. Put them inside your fenceline, spaced apart and at different heights. Maybe that would scare them off from any night peeking?? Or maybe a motion dectected recording of a mean dog barking??

Just got an e-mail from another woman who wants to buy some hens or pullets, AND wants a roo!

She is only interested in the dark eggs and not breeding. She has white hens now, and wanted to know if a Marans roo would darken the eggs. After explaining he won't darken her hen's eggs, but the offsprings', she understood and still wanted one! I think JR will be finding a new home, and can finally be the top roo!

haha...i don't need a recording of a big mean dog barking....That's what I've got goliath for. He's pretty intimidating, but for some reason there are still a couple of people that still push boundaries. I know I wouldn't want to be on the bad side of Goliath. Here's a pic of him at 6 months. He's roughly twice that size now...maybe a bit more. He seems to scare a lot of people cause of his markings and deep brown eyes. His booming bark doesn't seem to help matters either... precisely the reason I got him. I'll never tell anyone around here that he really is a sweetie.

Oh, he looks like a sweetie! I don't dare send my dog, Otho, after anyone. It would be all over but the screaming and bleeding. I bought him for protection, and he does his job very well. He is from Czech Military Border Patrol bloodlines, and is serious as a heartattack! I had had a stalker that tracked me and my kids for over a year and a half, and the Prosecuting Att. did nothing! Told him the next time I see the man on my property, it will look like a deer hunting accident... I did it your way for 19 months, now I will handle it myself. The stalker never returned, to my knowledge

Otho, my sweet boy and bestest helper!
