A quickie photo of my Splash hen and my BCM girl like Debbi's , Poularde's and Math Ace's. She has started laying but notice how dark her face still is.

No the BCM does not have wry tail and the Splash does have dark eyes but they are very dark orangy and this is not her normal tailset, but she is coming out of a molt...it has been hot here the last week and today offered no relief. I'm surprised all the pics I took today aren't showing them with their wings out and panting like they really are. My Splash gal was the most persistant broody this year. I love her...she will be 2.5 years old in December.

and a dark blue copper Davis pullet showing very little copper and it is very dark...she is a sweetie. I don't believe she has started laying but she should be any day now, she is the same age as my BCM photo'd above, but notice how dark her comb still is as well.
Just nosing around...

Some of my friends have mini Aussie's....they are TOOOOOOOO cute! My neighbor has a toy...Sophia, she is no bigger than a Chihuahua (spelling...sorry), but has enough attitude to make you think twice about putting your hand down to her.

Awww! That Aussie reminds me of my "Blue". Blue Merle Australian Shepherd, loved that dog! She was small, but tough as nails. There wasn't a bull or ram, or hog, she couldn't turn around! She literally saved my life one day, when I was knocked down, and getting the snot kicked out of me by a mean sow. She nipped the pig once in the rear end, and the sow got off of me. Then Blue launched herself onto the sow's nose, and didn't let go until I was out of the stall. She was small, but from farm working stock, and she passed it on to all of her kids. Blue was one of my all time favorite dogs! Smart, smart dogs!
