really?! That's a stinking tiny aussie! Nevada is the same way with new people too. She has to get the approval from me and even then it can take a few times of seeing them before she relaxes a bit. She is a total sweetheart to the ones that she decides are ok. I practically get mauled to death with her excitement if I'm gone for more than an hour...so long days at work I gotta really brace myself when I get home....she goes nuts hahaha

What kind of camera did you end up getting?

Oh my! Poor girl indeed!

She reminds me of Kramer, on Seinfeld saying; "Look away, I'm hideous!" The poor dear..

I've been looking at new dog breeds since my old Shepherd gal, Uma, got ill. I've never had a big, drooly dog before, but I really like the Neopolitan Mastiffs. On the plus side, Uma is doing very well lately. She has taken to chasing the chickens in earnest, and can now get herself back onto the couch all by herself! What a turn around for her. She is looking much better since the cooler weather hit. She will hunt down Blue Butt and make him run!

He had better not flog my Uma, that will cause his immediate demise! So far, he's scared to death of her!

While putting Clyde up for bed tonight, he looked depressed. I think it's due to him losing his tail feathers...poor dude. It's surely got to affect their little roo egos??

yeah...I love those Mastiffs too...I just don't think I could handle the drool aspect tho....I grew up with rotts and in the summer they would get slobbery too and it was just a mess haha

Now that is a good dog! I love the working dogs very much! Nothing quite like them, eh?

For sure! If I could've only slowed her down. Bringing the sheep in at night was a 90mph event! Talk about a Ferrari, that dog could go from a drop to 90mph in 4 seconds!!

She did get the sheep in the barn lot though...

Well, the way I look at it, I'm on my way to the drooly years myself; so what's one more puddle, one more towel?!

And my Aussie, "Blue", bit more people than all the Dobes, Rotts, Great Danes, German Shepherds, and Chinese Cresteds I ever had, put together!! She was tough, and didn't accept any strangers in her domaine...period! Bit the Mayor of the small town I lived in, right in the butt!

haha...that sounds about like nevada too...she's got tiny little legs, but she sure can fly... Its funny when she tries to herd my chickens....she is both scared of my giant boys and yet just can't resist that herding instinct...so its a game of herd, then run away, then herd again, then run away..... always looking at me for approval of course. The best part is that both Gigantor and my giant Splash boy (yet to name that sweetheart)...will just kind of stand there and look at her with this expression that says, "Really?, are you serious?"
