My new marans!!!

My young BCM roo:

My 6 month old BCM hen and 2yr old CM hen. I know the BCM isn't very correct with her coloring but I just loved how dark she was and how she was built.

I can't WAIT for dark eggs!!

Thanks Friends! I am very happy with the birds that I have kept back for breeding this year. Not to happy about having to narrow down the stupid comb issues that popped up, but such is life, I will get it fixed.

Wynette~ All of my birds with the exception of a few of the BCM that came from GFF are all typey like this....especially if they have any Bill Sr. blood in them at all.

Risa~ So glad that you had a good trip with the chooks! Welcome to the West Coast!

cadeau - an additional comment on your eggies - the Marans one to the far left is the shape of what we are looking for in 'egg type' - nice & round rather than oblong.
