The sad thing about the roo with 'tude......he is the best Wellie roo I have, I really don't want to start from square one again, but I will continue to work with him. I think he is going to be my special pet for a week or two.

Hey, Marans friends. I just wanted to post a little thank you to all who have been so sweet & kind during the horrible time I've been having due to a personal loss. 'Nuf said, and thanks again - you guys ROCK!

No, no eggs yet. The Jersey Giants all have some good sized red combs coming in, and I'm waiting any day. (I got ONE egg from a mysterious JG one day, have no clue who it was. . .) but the Marans I'm still tapping fingers on something for. One of them seems ready pretty soon though.

Also, of all the JG's I got from you, the blues were pretty light - But one, oh my goodness! It looks like a Lavender Jersey Giant! She is SOO pretty!! I will show pics when I can.

Too bad blue isn't really a color you can breed for the darkness/lightness of. Far as I know, anyway. Because I'd love to breed her to get more "mock-Lavender" Jersey Giants.
