I have 20 BCM eggs started 10 PM 9/20 so hope to have pipping tonight. Been battling funny combs, mossy chests, middle toe feather but have some progress in the last year.
This is another picture of eggs from my Blue Marans pullet which was bought from Joan. They are not the darkest but they look very pretty to me. The little splash two month old may not be a cockerel as many folks at our local meet think she is female.
The pinkish eggs are from a Silver Laced Wyandotte and the sage colored are of course from my EE. Kim wanted to see the Blue M eggies. Marans are a new breed for me.

I've had some really strange oviduct contents around here. This past summer, I had a little phoenix hen who was about a year old lay the most bizzare looking rubbery thing. I was really afraid she would never lay again after this. She was eggbound prior and I brought her inside in a carrier and treated her for a few days before she finally laid it. She is back to normal now.
Here it is lol

I am pretty sure I know which hen did it and I haven't had an egg from her in over a week. I am pretty sure it is some kind of internal yuck.... She laid an egg today after passing that thing.
I am hoping she will start laying on a regular basis again. She is just turning two this Christmas.
