Thanks Goddess! I was born on the 13th, so it's my lucky number!!

They are not due till Sat. but I think I'll have at least one early bird. Pics will follow when all are in the brooder!! Why is this still soooo exciting??

Hi Vicki,

I may have one early bird. Never seen any of mine rock on the 18th day?? 21 days would be Sat., so I guess between now and then, plus I always give Marans eggs a few days longer, like till day 23 or 24.

Good luck to everyone with hatchers coming up!!!! Bring on the babies...I'm feeling kinda bummed because none of the Marans eggs hatched and the bad luck with the Barnie babies so I needs me a chickie fix.

Good news is Darryl has taken the little Barnie cockerel and the 2 are doing great. Maybe this will get her off of this seemingly never ending broodyism train she's been on.

Wow Pink, I hope your broody raises the Barnies up for you! I can't wait to get some broodies here. I may end up regretting that statement, but that's why I got the Silkies.

I can see it now, a Silkie momma with some 2 week old Marans chicks as big as she is!
