I just posted in the hatching section but thought you marans experts would maybe know better.
I just had 1 of my marans eggs hatch and the chick is goldy coloured, how is this possible? The man i bought my eggs from kept french black copper marans and that is what he supposedly sent me, the eggs were very dark brown. Will see what colour the other 2 in the bator turn out to be.

Here are my FBCM's from eggs I bought on here....

My 2 cockerels, 12 weeks old.....

No white on them anywhere I can find.. Please let me know what you think of them.

My FBCM pullet

My splash Marans pullet which has light leg feathering (not as heavy as the FBCM's)

My Wheaten pullet which is only 8 weeks old, she started out a nice color but I fear she is getting too dark? Terrible picture as it is cloudy out and she doesn't like to stand still for pictures....
