Marans Thread - breed discussion & pictures are welcome!

Woo hoo!! You are racking them up!! The bloomies I've had have never hatched, think Pink has had the same problem??

Went to log in here, and it didn't recognize me. Took me a few (ok 6) tries, but I figured out the new system didn't recognize my old password?? If this happens to you, try to sign in as usual, and if it doesn't recognize you, click on "forgot my password". It will send a link to your e-mail, click on it, and put in a new password of your liking. I was starting to panic!

Hmmm, need to try it yet. Kathy, are you on dial-up too??

Ok, took 5 minutes to load all of my pics, then I just right clicked on "copy" and then pasted it back here. Getting back here was somewhat of a chore! I liked the old way better where it opened a seperate window to go to your uploads! I sure hope they get the bugs out of this, it is not easier by any means!

haha...the girls really are laying pretty great for me right now. Last spring I had some bloom eggs and some hatched and some didn't I thought I'd see what happens with the dry hatch method

My 6 week old pair are growing so quickly! What color would they be? Are they black? I got the eggs from Greenfire

This is Buddy my Birchen Marans (pardon the tail, he was just recently attacked by a coyote and the coyote ripped his tail out, which was beau.T. ful)

I got two little Partridges. One dark, one looks like a Splash Partridge! Almost lost both of them today when their light bulb blew! I heard them screaming, went out there, and the new bulb had blown out!! Temp got down to 78* and the poor little guys were shivering! Good thing they screamed!! They are doing fine tonight, thankfully!!

Was the photo right side up when you loaded it? If so...me thinks there might be a bit of a bug.

Who did your birchen boy come from?
Oh and welcome to the Thread...I dont' know that we've chatted before

If you upload a picture every single time. Have you tried to post a picture that you already have in your album? THAT is not at all easy.

What method did you come up with, kathy? After some hunting and experimenting, it worked well for me. And it was easy. (Right click and paste. Done)
