Blackstar rooster? Bred to what? Sound like he is a production hybrid type? If you are breeding him to Marans girls, he will no doubt lighten their egg color in the offspring.

I will give it a month or so and then try again. Husband has set me on incubator arrest. He took my power cord and said I won't get it back until I sell some chickens

But, but...it is chicken math!

My husband wouldn't even try that. LOL, he knows that I would find some way to get power to the incubator
and it would be safer if he just let me keep the cord.

My hubby is good at hiding things. Last year for Christmas he got me 12 bottles of fine wine, for the 12 days of Christmas and hid them all throughout the house. He put numbers on them and I could only drink the one for each specific day. He is silly like that. I love him for it. and I will find the cord yet! I think he hid it by the sink and the dirty dishes, my least favorite place to be.

Morning Everybody! 40 minutes and 2 cups of coffee later I can finally post something, but I only get to type a couple of letters at a time and then the screen freezes, empties and I get to try it all over again. Hmmmmmm.
This is really cutting into my BYC time in the mornings, messes up my whole attitude for the day I noticed yesterday. Poor hubby got the brunt of it.

You probably know this, but back in my dial up days I learned to open Notepad and type my post there first. I would then copy and paste into the reply box. Sure saved me some aggravation.
