Barb, I love Ann!! The other pullet almost looks rumpless? May be the way she is standing, but did you check her for a pope's nose?? Cute babies!

I was going to take baby pics today, and forgot the batteries needed re-charging. Doing that now, and if it isn't too late, will post a pic of my 2 Silkie babies.

Ended up falling on my keester today when my computer chair gave out! I mean the darn thing just snapped!

I really think my male dog loves it when I fall, he was all over me with a laugh on his face! On the good side, I got 4 Marans eggs today!

Bev is a little on the shy side! She likes to keep that tail tucked!!!

Got home not long ago...I'm hurtin pretty good, but better than the last two days when I get home. just have 4 hours in the morning and then I'll have the rest of the day and sunday to recoupe a bit. Oh...by the way. I'm gonna get working on my seed sorting and figuring out what I'm planting this sunday at a friends, so when I go through my stuff I'll let ya know what I've got for seeds, ok?

Christie, I'm having problems with pics loading, so I can only comment on a few that did. The Wheaten is a pullet, as is the Splash. And yes, that one bird has mossy wing feathers. Looks like yours did ok in the comb department too! Congrats!!

You think the splash is a girl? Cool. I had pretty much convinced myself that the only girl was the wheaten. I really do think I might have 4 black copper boys.

well... I decided I am going to work on getting my incubator ready for the test run over the weekend. I am gonna let it go for two or three days I think before I put anything in. I am now officially 12 away from having one full tray. I'm setting only the darkest eggs I'm getting now and have a decent idea of who is laying some of them, so its like my fun crazy hatch before my rigorous test mating starts.

Nothing good about hurting, I know all too well. You need to rest up on that back, if at all possible. But you don't sound like the kind that would, even if you could, so never mind! Let me know what you have in heirloom tomatoes and maybe hot peppers (not jalapeno). I still need to clear off my work bench to set up the seed trays and heat tapes, and I figure if I start them in mid Feb. it will be good for my time to plant. Won't be planting any time too early this year...not after last year's experience!

Yes, from what I can now remember, the Splash looked very feminine to me. The Wheaten is a no brainer, due to the wing color. I may be all wrong on the Splash, so others may chime in on her?

Parsnips?? Eggplant? I'm starting to think larger in my head now, but still don't know where the garden is going to end up if I expand the chicken runs towards the west!

May have to rethink the whole run thing over again. Did find some extra space to the east side of the existing run for expansion, so....
