ARGH!!!!!!!!! Glitches! Glitches! Glitches! Sorry for the delay Vicki but the system must be having issues this morning.
in answer to your question....no clue....do tell.
in my incubatori just cant help but to give it a shot! Shes in with a blue birchen project boy and her momma is that tanky blue birchen girl...so, I'm crossing my fingers he's been covering her. They do pal around. At worst, they aren't any good or they turn out to be mixes. Which I can sell for egg layers. I just couldn't pass it up.![]()
Kim, are you feeling ok? Do you need me to call a doctor to make sure you don't have a fever that's making you delirious? Hahaha...Just Kiddin, I get that. I go through that every year....get all excited about hatching and then crap out at some point...not that it ever loses its excitement, but once all the chickies start adding up, that's a lot of work!Cool Deal! I'm going to set another 16 or so even though I don't really want to right now, but I will....I can sell them for layers. Just tired of incubating right now.
I can't believe I said that!
Today is day 7 Pink! I am sure I will not be able to see in those eggs. I can't see in mine, unless they are lighter. One girls eggs I can't even see the air sack. I can't see in the Lav's blue eggs either. I am so mad I don't have my new flashlight!I got it to candle these eggs![]()

I took a quick look at mine yesterday when I added water and couldn't see in my Marans or the Olive Eggers. I only looked at one each. I will change the batteries and see if that helps. I may have to make a candler like yours pink and use a 100 watt bulb it is supposed to be 1600 lumens.
Debbi by the way, they just quit making the 100 watt bulb, but you can still get them till they run out. Next year the 75 watts go..... I am going to try to switch to the flexwatt and may supplement with a low watt bulb. I have seen others use the small Christmas tree lights in small incubators. Ceramic heat bulbs maybe. Have the appliance bulbs been effected? The ones for the oven get pretty hot might could use them. I have a nice stock pile of bulbs, I mostly use the 75 watts in my incubator and hatcher.
