haha sure do! I thought about having a glass after dinner tonight to celebrate! This one is a lively chick, that's for sure! Sounds about right for the birchens! They have soooo much personality here

haha...I do have to work tomorrow.... for most of the afternoon, so that's a good thing for me. It will get me out of the house and away from them for a while. Otherwise I will get myself in trouble!

haha...and the verdict is in! Its a blue...and a nice silver toned one too!!

(how can you tell it has silver already?? My BCM don't show gold until they're shedding their baby feathers at 3mths or later!)

Last I checked, I have 4 BCM (I think) and one light blueCM!!
the blue and one really dark BCM are HUGE!!

I also have 2 bantam MF cochins!!

Remind me again - the chicks with lots of yellow fuzz = lots of color on the adult bird?
dark chicks = darker adults

or vice versa???

Hi Katelyn! I didn't mean the birchen silver...I just meant the overall tone of the chick is a silvery blue...just like I like it. Its a nice middle of the road color that should hopefully give nice lacing!

Sounds like they really are cranking out like crazy over there! I wonder what Kim's are doing?!
She's our hatching buddy too!

On the fuzz thing...I've never found too much consistency to tell you for sure which is correct. Maybe someone else will pop in and be able to tell you for sure.
