I've just gotta kick my self in the patooty today. A guy that bought three Marans hens from me just called and asked if I had fertile OE eggs. Told him I would collect some and asked him about an incubator because he was telling me he didn't have one. Well, it turns out he went to a local garage sale that I was going to try and make but didn't to, and bought an incubator. I asked him what it was and he didn't know, but said it would hold a ton of eggs. He then went out to his truck and told me it had the letters GQF on it. As I was clearing my throat I asked how much he gave and when he said $50.00 I almost dropped the phone. Where am I when these deals happen!!?
On a lighter note it looks like I'm going to get some SLW's from Foley. My wife has been wanting them and wasn't satisfied getting them from a hatchery. Still searching for some GLW's, tho.

now for the daily dose of cuteness.....

I'm a momma to a 5 to 6 day old baby kitty. His real momma I found hit on the road day before yesterday....broke my heart, but he's keepin me distracted. Little turd doesn't even have his eyes open yet, but marches around on his wobbly legs, purr non stop and sure lets you know when he's not happy!

haha...I hear ya. I'm an animal person in general, but cats don't rank super high on the list for me....just can't let the little turd starve to death tho, so...ya me? haha

haha indeed...he's spoiled rotten already. If he hears me talking, he starts squawking from his little carrier... haha

omg is that little 'turd' adorable! We'd only be so lucky to find a little one who needed our help like he needs you. My DD and I are totally "cat' peeps - we have 3 indoor ones and 2 outdoor barn cats (fierce mousers when we adopted them, but now stand at our door and meow for us to feed them -and we do- and they're not fierce anymore too;-(...we'd love a baby like that one! Love him now and he'll love you forever!

I'm not sure what the protocol is for bumping my own question, but I think it got lost when the adorable kitten showed up. I know she's not as cute as a kitten (!), but please reassure me that her (?) comb is ok even though the tops are black.

So today I'm just going to post a pic of Jet and make sure her (?) comb is ok with the little black tips. She's 4 weeks today.
