now I gotta get caught up

Forgot - for Keara and others looking for fencing:

I'm fencing in a paddock - basically making a large aviary with roof and all...

Anyhow - TSC has their fencing on sale this week - it is like a pig panel in that the lower part is 2"x6" holes and then it graduates as the fence rises....good for chicks, as well as, the adults

haha Keara - take mine - please!!

Really, only the buck has to go...he's turned into a jerk in the past few weeks...

Vicki - I'm trying to explain the mini pygmy goats to my SO.
We had pygmy and could. NOT. keep them in their paddock...

He's looking into different breeds of milk goat, now that our mommies are drying up.
Any suggestions, anyone?
Gonna shoot ya a PM

Okay I got a good look at the pullet in question. She does have a tail just no feathers on it. She's a keeper

So what do you think about this splash girl I was tickled pink to know the only splash I had was a girl.

I just picked up my first 2 marans pullets over the weekend - one "black copper" but really just black and another is cuckoo. They are about 5 months old. I don't know much about "type" - are they decent? If not - it is not a big deal, I really just have them for eggs and am just looking to learn :)

pics of my 5- 5 1/2 week old Blue Copper Marans Cockrel. I'm not really into breeding yet as this is my first flock. but i would still like to know what ya'll think of him so far. FYI he came from Donna's flock
.

are these considered street sweepers?

when should i expect his copper to start coming in ?
Oh gosh what a cute face! I think that age is so cute. They are getting big kid feathers but still got some down sticking out between them. Lil' kindergarteners.
Those feathered legs look nice to me. What I like about him also is that he has a tail! No slow feather genetics on him. I would take him! lol
I am sure in the next month you will start to see copper. My only experience with blue marans cockerels is my 2 1/2 month old little flock of chicks but seems like it just comes in all of the sudden.
