Vicki, I just have the metal box with the ceramic light socket, the 25 watt throws off I believe around 100 actual light watts. I have a light box inside the house for taking pictures of Glass for ebay and I use two light like this there.Hey Don

Tis one bulb throws plenty of light, I turn all the other lights in the room. I also have two half doors made on 2x4 welded wire for the front if needed. They seem to want to stay in the Box with the other lights turned off.
