Wait- I was searching and found some posts here on BYC about using foam pipe insulation for packing the eggs in. I like that idea better.

I have a friend that swears by them and another that thinks they don't allow the eggs proper air circulation. I've never tried them but have received eggs packed in them. I cannot recall my hatch rate however.

where can I get those foam shippers?

I've had eggs shipped to me three times now in the foam and I can't say I really liked them much, personally. Also, folks reuse them, and to me...I prefer fresh, never-been-used packaging for hatching eggs. But, everyone has their preferences.

Lol I always feel like the eggs are going to go shooting out like a rifle while I'm trying to get the egg out
