I had one last hatch that was very light blue, and I thought it looked lavender, too...she did darken up, though.

I lost a treasured pet a week ago this past Saturday.

Do you know who gives you the really light ones? blue/splash? I want to try and track who could be making me some more lavender-esque JG's.

My dumb renegade pullets returned home and I have two more with copper in the neck and feathered feet.. I thought I only had 3 decent ones to go into next year with.... They were visiting a nieghbors coop... SNAG... Now the are incarcerated~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are they for sale.... Not yet... this is a POL pullet that the gal bought from a person who has some really nice birds... All Wade from Wade... I believe it... I am smitten... Every bird she had was a good as this one.. she let me choose... What a peach..

I will have some eggs available soon I hope... She looks promising for egg color.. (from the outside... and from inside my head). She is getting color in her comb so the lay is coming on.... I stumbled onto her post on CL as she was advertising Wade Jean and she had a pic of a Black Birchen she was saying was from Wade line... (what are the odds?) I had the hen and no way to reproduce her and she had the roo and no way to reproduce him and so I told her I would trade her hen for hen... (that is the scoop)... Life is Wierd.

I think next time I get a nasty rooster, I am going to make a roo snuggie..you know like those ones for babies that you can strap over your shoulders and on your belly? I will put his little butt in it and wear him around for a day and make him wear a diaper lol. That ought to fix his wagon

Hey Jeremy.. did the hennyroo get a new home or are we still looking???? One of mine turned out to be a hen... I thought it was a roo... I zip tied it as a cull... ha ha... Now she is pretty.... She was an UUUUUGGGGLLLY girl... I love the ugly Duckling thing... I think it is called ugly chickling in this case... I will post a pic when my daughter fixes the camera again.... (don't ya just love handy teens)
