It takes as long as needed to check all the parts of the bird. Generally a judge is expected to judge 300-400 birds a day. Each judge has a different system, but all the parts of the bird must be checked. After each bird is handled, the judge looks at the class as a whole and keeping the positive/negative points in mind or with notes on the coop cards, a decision is made
