I wish I had kept all of my "wheatens" or "sports" that hatched (or whatever they are). Each time, I asked the person I was hatching chicks for if they wanted it for free and they took them. I only kept the last couple of ones I hatched and right now only have one little female running around. Since I know nothing about Wheatens I have no idea if she's "true to form" or not but she's cute and I'll put her with my partial Wheaten male some day when she's grown. When I start my "serious" breeding program in the Spring, pairing them up one-on-one, I'll be sure and note whether or not they are producing the yellow chicks. Of course, if they are, they'll go into a separate breeding program.
