He a beautiful bird, but I do agree with Pink and Debbie, he has a couple of faults as the Black Cooper Standards, If you have a choice of others that are close to the Standard would sure chose another, If it don't matter to you then you certainly can use him, but most would not use him
I'm sure there are plenty of Black Cooper Roosters around close to you and someone is always wanting to get rid of rooster
Hope it work out for you

Gee...it sure seems like LOTS of people have trouble getting good black copper roosters. I keep looking at mine, and have narrowed it down to 3 that I will choose from for breeding, but even at that, I can't say that I am totally satisified with any of them. Time will tell. None of them have disqualifying faults. They do have their tailfeathers pecked out, however, (That darn BJG roo!) which makes it difficult to really tell if their conformation is correct. I'm waiting to see how their tails grow back. Right now, without their tail it makes them look a little "roach-backed." The one I think has the most correct feathering, comb and conformation has too much copper on his breast. It's always something.

I think I agree with others on here that if the bird has a disqualifying fault (rumpless) I would not breed it to any of my hens.

I really want to thank all of you for the advice on my Rumpless guy I guess I just wasn't thinking clearly if I had thought in the term of rumpless it would have been an easy choice but he is the only roo I got out of that hatch soooo I guess he will be guarding my laying flock from now on and not go into the breeding pen he is a real sweety so that a plus.
