Hi

Yes, we will try to get the black coppers accepted first and then the wheatens, after that it will be the cuckoo and white Marans. We have to do one at a time because there is so much involved. A lot of birds have to be bred by a lot of people.

Bev

Bev,

Can you please tell me when the B/B/S or Blue Coppers will come up? Seems like there are way more Blues than Whites, that I've seen around anyway. Is it because the Blues aren't yet recognized in the other countries as well, or are there actually more Whites in numbers? Thanks.

Hi

After we have got the black coppers accepted we will start getting all the other colors accepted. We have to have five people breeding a particular color for five years as one of the qualifications set by the APA. We have passed the five year mark with the copper blues so could start the qualifying proceeder. We really want to get the black coppers accepted first before starting on any of the other colors.

#2 has a sun spot of his head . . .

I REALLY REALLY HOPE #1 is a pullet. It was one of the last two that hatched on Day 24 after we had lost power for over 6 hours. Those last two arrivals on Day 24 were real fighters and will be kept if possible. . . . She / he has spoil me written all over it!

So #3 looks blue to you . . . Take a look at post # 6682 and tell me if you see any blues.

I wanted to show off my Marans mixed breed roo...didn't know where to put him....hope it's okay to put him here.

He's my third roo. My first was a beautiful blue Cochin that was mean, mean, mean. My second was a Barred Rock I raised. He took to flogging my little girl so he's a gonner.
I got this guy from my friend who bought two chicks straight run and this one turned out to be a roo. I love his eyes. The colors are amazing!! He's so nice to the girls and
to us people too. He crows like he's asking a question.

I don't know what he's mixed with but he's half Marans. He started out Henrietta, then Henry. We call him Hank,
short for "Hankie Pankie"
