I give all my hens oyster shell free choice. I feed eggshell sometimes but mostly I throw the eggshells in my compost pile. Some calcium is good for plants too

The oyster shell is pretty cheap around here and lasts quite a while.

our Cuckoo Marans started laying again

, went out to check on everyone and she has been hanging out with the bantam cochins and 1 of the girls was trying to hide her egg from me

. Probably thought she could pass it off as hers!

ABSOLUTELY NO WAY am I going to encourage any egg shell eating!

The egg shells do great in the compost and the garden needs calcium to avoid Fruit end rot.
