I must be slipping...I should have caught that no fowl bit before Pinkchick got it! What I can't believe is that there are people who still get their mail before noon? Just wait until I see my mail-lady!

I received a rooster today from Tn. He was supposed to arrive yesterday by 3pm.

So far, I have never sent anything express that ever gets there in the 1 day they say it will.

On the other hand, my local PO is very good and she said she was "talking" to him! So no worries about that.

I went through this last year when I sent chicks. It took 2 days and they refused.

There was a new reg. put out last year, not all PO staff get a chance to read it, it states that although they guarantee for 1 day, they don't refund money unless its over 3 days! So why guarantee it for less days then? Makes no sense. I actually have a copy of the regs if anyone wants me to send it to them. I was unlucky, because my PM was new to the area, and she looked it up before she dealt with me, and she stuck to her guns....Some say their PO will still refund the money, but it depends on how up to date they are on the rules, etc.

Well that stinks! I never did like the Express Mail, and thankfully only had to deliver a few of them. Glad your bird got there safely though!

Okay...just candled the eggs that are set for lockdown next week.....looks like downsizing helped with fertility or I should say that I didn't pull as many clear eggs this time...but rather pulled eggs that had development,but had quit. Seems I am having the most trouble with the best pullet that I have and her eggs being clear, they are fertile, just not developing. Hmmmm.
