OK.... So DH got the little chick out of the egg. His neck seems fine, but I'm wondering if his legs are deformed. We put him back in the incubator to dry off and every time he gets up to walk around, he falls down. When he lays down to rest he brings his legs back into the fetal position. It's picture day at my two legged babies dance class, so I will be gone for a while. When I get back I will post pics of the six fluffy butts that are out. They are absolutely adorable cutie pies. I'm in love.

Also, the breed is Marans, with a S at the end, even if you are talking about one bird.

wow...there are so many people hatching right now! Its great! I am so glad that the hatches that have been taking a while are producing results finally! Go Debbi, Kim, Jennifer and all the others out there!

Sometimes it's just very hard letting go of someone who was a very inspirational and wonderful part of your life. My 96 year old Grandmother is not doing well. She's had a very long life and wonderful life...it's time. Everything will be okay, I know it will.

We have 4 pips in the 'bator and one little chickie is almost here already. It's one of Chloe's eggs.

I'm glad you have chicks coming...they are so full of hope. I get so excited every time. Which one of your girls is Chloe? I've heard you mention her name before, but I dont' know if I know what she looks like
