Yes it is a very cool egg but it is not so cool that it is coming from my darkest layer. I can't possibly put that in a box and ship it out to someone to hatch. I miss her regular eggs and I have had more of these spotted eggs and very lilacy purplish white eggs from her than I know what to do with. The coating and the spots are so thick the only way to get them off is by sanding, but the color of the egg underneath as we all know with this heavily coated eggs is wonderful but as soon as it dries...well you know. Also, these eggs do not hatch, trust me....I've been trying them out since she started laying them. She hasn't laid a normal colored egg now in over a month since I sent eggs to you Steve.

How do your tomatoes do in the ground?

Me?? I had more tomatoes last year than I knew what to do with! Best crop ever. Going to till in some more sand and humas this year, along with the decomposed chicken coop litter and poop. Should be better than last year. Once I can finally till, if it ever dries out, I can put up my cattle panels around the whole thing. Of course, I will be adding chicken wire to the bottom 2'. There will be NO chickens in this garden!

Gilavina ~ Hang in there lady, our turn for the warm will come soon enough...I hope? Just hope we have a spring, and it doesn't go from nothing to 90!

My DH is amazed at the simple things that keep me entertained and amuzed. I of course wouldn't have it any other way. I like simple!

One of my orpingtons lays a pinkish tan egg with tiny purple freckles sometimes. It is kinda cool. I got some really ruby red eggs from some of my bcms this past week. I am gonna try and get a Dr Pepper can to take a pic today. I don't normally drink Dr Pepper but my son will drink it :LOL
