Be careful, it might be the calm before the storm. I see where Crater Lake in Oregon has had 615 inches of snow so far this year and it is presently snowing hard there now.

Yes! We have sun here this morning too, but they are calling for 40mph winds! That's ok, it will help to dry us out a bit. More rain coming in Sat. night and Sunday!

My garden plants are chafing at the bit to get planted. My tomatos are getting root bound and big! Rained here on Easter Sunday, so that means 7 following Sundays will be rainy!

Are you working today or do you have something "Special " planned for today ? ?

Not working today. I got my divorce finalized yesterday so I'm still pretty heartbroken about that.

But I will get over it. The female judge complimented me on having all my paperwork properly presented and everything in order. She said that it was nice to see someone who "had their ducks all in a row". Didn't make me feel any better tho...
We are supposed to have thunderstorms and hail storms today.

Sorry to hear about the BIG D

You may need to get some more chickens to help you not think about the heart ache.

I just so happen to have some very nice roo's that I would be delighted to ship to you . . .
Would you like a BCM or Delaware roo ? ? ? Perhaps, one of each ? ?

I could even send you a TRIO,

A TRIO of ROOSTERS

We are suppose to get the thunderstorms after lunch today. . . .
I have eggs in the incubator, so I just hope we don't lose power

It sounds like they are still getting tornadoes in the south east today. I sure feel sorry for those folks. It looks pretty devastating.

I'll admit...I am behind on planting my seedlings..and that it is on purpose. After seeing the weather not changing at all I decided I'd wait as late as possible on the planting times for veggies to get them going because last year was the same way. Spring just was a mess with all the rain and had plants get root bound and not do all that well waiting to be put out.

It's not even going to get into the 60's here again today. I feel like I have done the smart thing by not even planting a garden this year. Instead, I am going to put a lot of cow manure, pig manure and a moderate amount of chicken manure on my 50'x50' garden area and then cover it with black plastic for a year. My soil type is "sandy river-bottom loam" which is about as good as it gets.
The weather man says that next year we will be having a change in weather patterns due to ocean conditions and we should have a much warmer/drier spring.
