man my squirrels eat alot... I have 10 in one pen (breakfast) 2 in the geriatric useless pen (old pets) 7 in my next years hopeful's 7 in my breeder pen, 4 bantam, 5 next year's hopeful hopeful (different pen) and 1 broody on eggs.... 2 awol.... This is the least amount of birds I have had in years!!! LOL
I guess I am under 40...
(reason to fire up the bator)..
Oh and one of the AWOL's has a hatch she won't show me... so I could still be up at 40+
Well then he crossed my birds on something... she was too young too be the one I sent him so it was offspring... He likely crossed her with something... No credit to you on the chook then... She does need a Bill daughter to bring out the best in this bird... It has a long enough back and lots of good traits... We need to road trip... Let me know when you have something and we will come up for the afternoon... My schedule has slowed waaaay down for summer... THANK GOODNESS... Six months of reprieve before I have to run like a lit cat again.

It's great! They've been eating all the slugs from the perimeter of the garden and even DH commented on less flys etc though he won't attribute it to the chucks.

Yah....I'm glad I clarified that as well. Lots of those birds that will be rehomed are layers from the laying flock. I really only have very small Marans flocks, as well as my other "special to me" breeds and a rooster pen. The total amount of feed will decrease significantly as soon as those pesky boys are in the freezer and I thin the laying flock.
You can attribute it to the DE if you are using it... Works awesome as a feed through... and my chooks will chase flies.. BTW... Let's get on the order Ayeup... I am game... I have found something else too... I can tell you about it in an email or phone call.... Might change our tactic..

Sweet! I'm ready. Illia is sending me a mixed 2dz so I want to label everything in the bator and tag them after hatch. I'll call you possibly later this evening. Cleaning out the garage and putting up a heavy bag today! You DS would be in heaven.
