I've not noticed a difference in the taste of pullet eggs for a hen that's been laying awhile, but I can see where it possibly COULD taste diffrent since they are so new to laying!

I was recently in Britain and visited a farm that raised the speckledy, a marans hybrid. Here is a sign and a picture of their birds. Thought it might be of interest to US breeders.

Question....

I've noticed a couple of my Maran hens (from McMurray) have blackish polka dots on their legs. Anyone else have this trait?
