If you want a blue turkey use blueberry juice to marinate it in. If you want PINK... cranberry juice! (Mine is usually pink)

We have a variety of hawks from Sparrow Hawk (which is actually a Kestral, a member of the Falcon family) all the way to the Redtail, which is our largest. We have Great Horned Owls and Barn Owls. We have Bald Eagles and Turkey Vultures...it could be a Great Horned Owl, since it has real long wings and a relatively small breast bone...

Oh I know exactly what a sparrow hawk is...that's all I'm going to say about that on here.

Its hard to know exactly what it might be I suppose when there is not more of the body. Sounds like we have most of the same birds here. Saw a bald eagle the other day...haven't seen one that close in a while.

Look closely.......this guy was flying up the river the other day scouting for some eats. I tried to get a photo of him in flight but I was not fast enough. I was lucky he was still in the tree when I finally got my truck pulled over and my camera out to walk back to where he was perched.

now back to Marans...Vicki this is that young male that has the very light hackles and saddles.
Remember his hackles looked like the bottom of them were coming in white. This is him yesterday.
