He actually loves this shirt, he and my 2 B-I-L's have tee's very similar that they all went and had made about 8 years ago just before Rick and I got married. The 3 of them together is a hoot!



For fun I have been saving some eggs over the years to see how dark they get as they age. I do not expose them to daylight (unless it is to show them to someone, which is not very often, or to take a photo) and keep them in cool dark space. I don't have any eggs from last year that I saved, sorry but I hatched them all out.

Here's a photo I thought was cool, the eggs in the carton are from early this year, the eggs in out on their own will be 3 years old this spring.

eta: the eggs that are almost 3 years old are almost dried out inside. The eggs from earlier this year that are stored the same way are still very heavy and very much yolky inside. I'm weird I know, but I understand the yolk can actually dry like a little pea in there and eventually they will be like a little rattle. We will see.

haha...maybe these last two comments explain why I've never married. I'm not that desperate that I will "do" anything to get married, nor will I behave like anything other than exactly who I am.

I don't know how to exactly figure it, but with wife number one I went anywhere and did anything she wanted. Were were married only six years. With wife number two I didn't go, do everything and stayed home a good bit of the time doing my thing. We were married for nine years. With wife number three I'm almost a couch potato. Don't go shopping, don't do any civic activities and don't watch I Love Lucy reruns with her. We've been married 11 years and get along wonderfully.

Ummmm....I'm pretty sure that I've not devoted my life to making lots of men happy, that could have several meanings...the most prevalent of which, is so not who I am. I've devoted my life to doing what I feel I should to be at peace and content with who I am as a person

This might sound weird to some, but I think that too many people...men or women are always on a search for bigger and better...in every aspect of life. Combine that with a disposable culture that includes disposing of people once something isn't convenient and viola, we have a giant mess on our hands. Where people don't know who they are and instead of facing themselves, will bounce from thing to thing and person to person thinking that everyone else is the problem rather than looking themselves and dealing with what needs to be dealt with. Sad part is that good people get wrapped up in the cycle of someone else's problems and end up feeling badly about themselves and wary of trusting others. Of course its more complex than that and not as neat as all I said, but I see it happening all the time. The way I figure it....I don't want to be part of that. I don't want to be someone that gives into that cycle or becomes someone else's pawn. This is why I am so careful about who my friends are.
