Looks better in those pics. Just keep an eye on her. I may be waaaaay off here, but I don't want you to go through what I did!! I'm thinking I found another carnation today in my blue pullet from the last Marans hatch. These girls are small for their age, and this is the one with the badly bent toes. She has that ingrown look on the last point and blade area. She was going to the layers only pen anyway because of her toes, but this just squelched it for me. These from someone who "had never had a problem with combs!". Hmmm, out of 5 birds I hatched; one cockerel had a carnation, one cockerel had a sprig, and now this possible carnation in this pullet!
So far, the Splash girl looks the best. Her Blue Copper brother looks decent too at this point, but I'm not sure now if he should stay here either. I am really sick to death of this comb crap!!
