Oh yeh, not happening here with the roos! I just wonder if he was a slow grower, but that still would not explain his chick coloring. He really didn't even start to bulk up and look mature until just a few months ago. Had never breed anything either, well, except his coffee can which I took away! Since he's been having little romances with the ladies, he has cooled his jets with me considerably. I was telling poor Don this today, and I can just envision the expression on his face, and what he was thinking when I told him all of that..."fool woman, WHY would you keep such a bird???"Believe me, I've asked myself that same question many times, yet Pip remains.![]()
He is a very sweet boy and likes to watch the freeranging girls lay thier eggs. He lets me know when people come up to the house by crowing and cackling. He can't mate any girls cuz he can't catch any and they regard him as a 'nice guy with no sex appeal' lol. He can't even get to the treats fast enough unless I give them to him separately. Poor little guy came from one of my first batches of Bl copper eggs I bought and I had serious incubator issues with low temps and he was born on the 25th day so I'm suprised he made it. Why do I keep him? Because he is my 'poor little Hoppy Toad' and I love him LOL!What's hatching now, Vicki?? Did you get any storms this morning??

Yah.....it's been frustrating I tell ya. I feel like I have missed tons of stuff.
