Put them both in time out. They will be fine. Keep them away from the others and each other till they heal up. Blu kote is to keep others from pecking at the bloody red places, you don't really need it.

Sorry for the bloodied chicksI have one cat carrier where I can put one of them in. So one is out with the others and have no problems while one is cooling his/her heels in the cat carrier. I had brought them in and wiped as much as the blood off as I could. They are both a little bruised.
Ok the lady who I got the eggs from just got off line when this happened. and had told me that I could tell just by the coloring.

Males are balder (especially on their backs) and much lighter in color with wider white bands & black bands.
Hens are darker & should be feathered evenly all over.
The males will also have a bigger comb already.

I hatched out some purebred french black copper marans-bev davis line and got this little one. She has the feathered shanks and looks like the others except shes white...

Is she still a black copper marans or what? All eggs hatched were dark dark brown..
