March 2017! Hatch with us!

That's so great!!! I am hoping the best for your lil' ducklings! :fl
I set my surprise ebay Bieles yesterday - of course I'm a bit of a negative Nellie lately, where my own hatches are concerned (and also the fact that two of the eggs in the package were broken, so I wonder what they all went through enroute!) But, I'm figuring that even one or two will make the price worth it.

Your chicks are darling!! :love

And we'll have none of that negative Nellie schtuff around here (see my finger wagging at you?)

This is my little clutch of eggs that my broody is sitting on. I snapped a picture while she grabbed a bite to eat

Wow, pretty eggs! I think one of my broodies has abandoned her nest after 14 days. Another is doing great on day 18, another on day 14 hanging tight, and another new one trying to start.

Tooooo stinkin cute!

Ok, so new experiment. One of my Serama broodies has apparently decided that 3 weeks is too long to sit. She made it 2 weeks. But her sister decided she wanted to sit today. Not together, in a totally different spot. So at dark, I checked, and exchequer was on the roost with the others, white is still in the other box, on her one egg from today. I moved 2 eggs from the other nest, already cold, placed them close to the white hen. Went back later and she's on them. So I just laid the other 6 eggs close to her. They are very cold, but maybe she will finish them off. If she is off of them tomorrow, I may throw them in my cabinet as an experiment. Or just toss them. I don't know yet.

ADORABLE chicks! Congratulations - sorry about all the boys.

Here are my surviving Silverudd blue chicks - I lost 2 black, and 1 blue to the cocci. I originally had 9 hatch - 3 of each color. What I still have are 1 black hen, 2 splash hens and 1 splash roo, and I thought 1 blue roo and 1 hen, but the hen is turning out to be a roo....

These all hatched 1/1.

Blue roo

I originally thought this was going to be a hen...it didn't have a wattle until this week.

It's hard to tell which is the Silverudd black hen unless she is running around. I have several Ayam Cemani/EE cross chicks in the pen. I think this is the Silverudd Blue - black hen.

I wish I lived closer - I would love to buy your splash roo - or if you weren't selling, at least 'borrow' him!

Very pretty!! I just determined that both of my splash bantam cochins are roos too! Ugh. Guess I'll have to try again. :D

I'm sorry they both were roos! I hope your next hatch is all girls!

It's funny...I hatched a dozen silkies around Thanksgiving. NOT ONE is developing streamers. They all have big round fluffy heads. I'm HOPING!!!!
