I am at a loss the eggs I have in the incubator have done nothing not a one Saturday was day 21 but no pip yet temp has been constant and I dry incubated them at 30% until lockdown then 70% after lockdown only factor I had was I had to put the eggs from my bantam in it after I found they were abandoned and I got 10 hatches from 11 eggs I will let them stay in until my new eggs get here but then will have to clean it out and get ready for them after I let stand for a day. But where did I go wrong??

That is SO exciting. Can you plz remind me the gestation time for turkeys? Is it the same for all turkey breeds? And most important, Go poults, go!

28 days. I think it's the same for all turkeys, but I'm not positive. I am brand new to them, as in, these eggs are my first experience. :-D

If they aren't pipped, you can candle them and see if anything is going on or if anyone is still alive.

As long as you don't see any pips or cracks when you candle, which should be easy to see, then you can also do the float test. You float the egg in some warm water and if it bobs around, something is alive. If it sinks and doesn't bob, it's dead.

If I had a dime for every time I said the very same thing this last weekend... ugh. My Least favorite part of incubation is the "what went wrong?" part. I agree with mylied, to first candle to see if you have any late bloomers, then do a couple eggtopsys to see if there was a problem with humidity (lots of fluid in the sack, causing them to 'drown' after an internal pip, or too little, making the shell too hard, so they internally pipped but couldn't get out. The other issue I dealt with that you may or may not see is a lot of malpositions and some deformities. I had a 25% hatch rate. I got 21 out of 80. Boo.

Yea I will do the float test too since I can't see through the shell as good I have two hygrometers and two temp gauges so I think the temp was ok it's my second hatch and I did so good with my first hatch with insermoutable odds I still got a 25% hatch which was astounding to me seeing that the eggs were over20 days old and refridgerated !! Here I have fresh eggs and nothing!!
