6/8 hatched so far, the other two are working their way out. No clue what we have, a barnyard bunch. Pretty cute for sure.

I’m on my 2nd chicken Hatch of the year. They are due to hatch on the 17th.

I currently have Lavender Orpington/Wyandotte mixes with potential for full LO’s. It’s Day 11 & I candled to find movement in 20 of the 24! Of the 4 that were no good 2 looked like early quitters, 1 was not fertilized & 1 I’m wondering if it’s a day or 2 behind...just wasn’t sure.

I’m ecstatic as my last hatch was THE WORST! Of 2 dozen eggs I only hatched 1 chick

I think we have all been there with the bad hatches! I had 1 of 10 hatch last month. Down to 5 viable out of 25 set this month!

Good morning and Happy Monday to all!
Day 18 today for my little survivors. All 5 still viable. Only one has a some what normal air cell. One also looks to be a day or two behind developmentally, but is still moving around in the shell! Really hard to tell with the saddles. I will wait until late tomorrow to lockdown and may even wait a bit longer for the slow one. Luckily I have two incubators and only 5 eggs, so room to move them around as needed.
Only one left of these eggs is a paint, I just ordered another dozen paint eggs. Still waiting for my own birds to step it up!

Photos show the under developed egg. Photo from the top and from the bottom to demonstrate that this day 18 egg looks more to be a day 15 or 16 egg I would say at most. Huge saddle going down both sides. The little one in there though is alive and kicking so far!

I tossed 4 last night. I have 4 left. on day 10 tonight is day 11. I have gotten eggs from this guy before. The others didn't hatch all the way, I thought it was my incubator. It could be me though. I did put them in an unproven homemade incubator in the first 2 days, so who knows. I am not holding my breath.

I've got 7 more silkies hatching today! None have pipped yet but if I remember right I set them later in the day or evening. @LadiesAndJane How's your silkies going? My notifcations didn't go off and have lost track on the posts!
