MARCH 2021 HATCH-A-LONG 🌷🌸🌼

Pics
Well at 9:00am MST it was officially day 20. Once again it seems I am going to have an early hatch.

My incubator reads 99.5F & my thermometer reads 100.5F. Obviously my thermometer is more accurate. A days not bad so I’m not overalls worried.

YAY, a hatch-a-long! I didn't start one for my own eggs but maybe I will later. I put my first eggs in the incubator 10 days ago. Only 5 because I have a lot of chickens already. Unfortunately, one was infertile and 2 are dead. My incubator cannot hold a steady temperature and goes down to 36.6 C then up to 37.7 C instead of holding at 37.5 C :(

But I got a Nurture Right 360 from tractor supply so I think I will switch the eggs to there.

Awakening forest- the temp can go up or down one degree. If it goes up 3-5 degrees, I would be upset.

Incubator with fan 99-100
Incubator that is still air up to 102.
Yes, I understand. It is fluctuating just over that one degree mark. I spoke with the company again (I'm sure they're tired of me calling ).

#1 of the big brown eggs above, (after day 16 the point should be dark. So at day 18 these are fine.)
The pic below #2 is the other big brown egg. Not in this pic, but I can see the chick jiggle the air cell. Both need the next 3 days to absorb the extra fluid towards the fat end, but they are doing fine.

This gives me some hope. I am hatching Green eggs; they are just impossible. I have decided to just let things happen and check them again on day 21.
