I have a Hovabator 1602N coming and the instructions I read on the GQF website are calling for a temperature of 100 degrees.

Should I follow the manufacturer's instructions, or go with what I've read here and on the U of Minnesota Ag Extension website?

First timer and very nervous.

The incubator your getting is a forced air so 100 degrees is good

Count me in! Im planning on placing the eggs in my Reptipro tonight. I have 14 Plymouth Barred Rock eggs that I got shipped. So, that will mean March 11th hatch date. I may wait to place the egg until tomorrow to give my bator an extra day to stablize, although Im running about 99/99.5 and humidity of 65. Just where I want it to be. This is the first hatch for the new bator so I wanted to do a test hatch. With my luck I'll get all roosters.....

my eggs came today
10 bbs orpingtons
they're resting and i'm going to start them
tomorrow morning
or maybe i'll wake up at midnight and put them in
