March Hatch-A-Long

I had to open the incubator tonight to add some water, so I also candled and updated my candling post. I tossed two that were for sure done, I think two more have stopped developing but I think the rest are okay. Leaving until day 18.

We candled yesterday, day 8, seems all are going good except 2 Black Copper Marans but since the eggs are so dark not 100% on those 2. The weird thing is some of them you can see their eyes or heartbeat so clearly. Will check again on day 15 to be sure.

From what I can tell, everyone's incubation is going great. I put several more eggs in today and took out 3 infertile mutt eggs. I still have almost a dozen more eggs ready to put in the incubator, but I don't think they'll all fit, so I'll probably wait until I need to take out any bad eggs or some hatch.

My accurite reached 106 at some point between 11am and 1pm but was turned down at 1pm when seen at 104 and been back at 102 since. Hopefully didn't kill any.

Ok I candles my eggs tonight and I didn’t see anything. I’m day 7 or 8 depending if you count the first day. I do have darker eggs so not sure about those but the other ones looked empty except a big dark blob which I think it the yolk. I left them all in there in case I just made a colossal mistake but if anything I may have seen a little something in one egg. Hmmm. Why does it look like all mine are not developing. Bummed

I’d give them another week. Even the dark ones you should be able to see by then.
Duds are usually either too old, infertile, or the embryo got too cold or something before incubation.
Hopefully a few are developing or hiding on you!

LOCKDOWN TIME!!!
Still got around 140 viable eggs that are supposed to hatch this Thursday. They're going into lockdown tomorrow.
Hoping for a good hatch this time. My highest hatch rate has been 60% so I hope that this one is higher.
