March Hatch-A-Long

Pics
From what I saw of your eggs when you posted a vid of them, they looked good to me. I would probably completely lockdown and top up the reservoirs, but it’s your call. You could fill one side and wait for a pip, but if you’re opening it after a pip there is a higher risk of drying membranes out.
ON this incubator you keep one side of the reservoir filled until lockdown then you fill both sides to up the humidity..one awesome feature is you don't have to open the lid to add water there is a port on the outside with a tube to the reservoir so you can fill it without opening. I actually just posted a thread because Im insecure about it. Ill prob just wait until i really want to go to sleep and fill both side and be done with it. What will be will be! Plus my Cackle order should arrive tomorrow so I will hopefully have chickie babies this weekend either way. Thanks for all you help!

@BlueBaby I'm babysittting my incubator at the moment. I had the lid off to take out the eggs to candle and the puppy knocked it over and changed the temperature on it. It was down to 97.5 :barnie

Hopefully it wasn't down for too long. How many day's into the incubation are those egg's?

That first chick that I had hatching today didn't make it. I am hearing some peeping from one of the silkie egg's, but it hasn't started to peck it's way out of there yet.

I'm sorry the first one didn't make it!
Our eggs are @ 12 days, I set them in the morning. I've been dealing with this incubator bit for 2 days. It's been low not high, 97.5 was the lowest. Every time I thought it was set it would creep up or down after a while and I have been having trouble fine tuning it.

It's my own fault, I shouldn't have put it on the floor.

Well, if you can't get it straightened out, I would be willing to help you hatch out your's. I have 2 incubator's, but only using the one right now.
