All BO/EE mixes. They're mostly buff like their daddy. One looks like it has a darker stripe/spot on its head. Will have to wait until they're fluffed up to tell for sure.

Oh good for you..BO/EE mix? Oh, those should be fun!

I have a quick question.... I purchased eggs online and they should have been shipped the same day... today, but one of them will not be able to ship till tomarrow or Friday!

Soooooooo

Should I wait the first eggs and put them all in togeather at the same time.....

or should I just put them in there on scedual (after 24 hours of settling time? right) and then do the other eggs as soon as I can like after 12 hours of settling time... This way they would be 1-3 days difference..... if this way I figure I will have to stil turn them manually for the difference of time 3-4 times a day but do you think the extra humidy for the hatch will effect them while they are this close in age? I would think being this close it would be fine... but I have ZERO experence with it

... but I am concerned about waiting too long with the other eggs before putting them in as they were the more expensive ones... any help would be appriciated!

Humm.... Just got this one a few days ago it is a brinsea 20 advanced... if that might make a difference... BUT if they are at the post office.... I can let them know and come pick it up Sat when it arrives... I live in a very small town and they always love to see what I get in the mail.... but even Monday would only be 3 days and if I let the first set sit 18 hours and the second set sit only 12 hours... so that would be Sat night for the first group (he collected yeasterday...so they would be 4 days old) and monday night for the 2nd group.... that is only 2 days....

What would be my main problems with doing this???.... Im not being sassy :)

I really want to know so I can know how to accomodate it if at all possible!
If they are going to ship the eggs to you tomorrow or Friday they will more than likely be sitting in the PO over the weekend. You probably won't get them until Monday. As for the incubator I would honestly get another one for the second batch of eggs if they are going to be that late.

If they should arrive on Saturday then there wouldn't be a problem. You could set them all on Saturday night or early Sunday morning. I took it as you were going to set the first batch of eggs and then a few days later set the others. There is no problem in doing that except when it comes to lockdown. When you raise the humidity for the first batch there is a chance that you could drown the chicks in the second batch.

So I go out to feed my dogs and check for eggs one last time tonight and one of my pullets has gone broody on the single egg she laid today. I am thinking about giving her some of the eggs that came in the mail today so that she has more than one chick hatch.

Woke up to lots of chirping in the bator. All of my GSBR/Blue Plymouth rock eggs hatched (20/20) and 7/8 of my production BR eggs hatched. I did an eggtopsy on the one and the chick was fully formed and had absorbed the yolk. It looked perfect but died in the shell. Off to the PO I go. I have 4 boxes waiting for me.

Congrats on so many hatching. Weird about the last one. A reminder about how fragile life can be and how random too I think! What was in the boxes can I ask? LOL

I had a box of Dark Brahma eggs. 2 boxes of Swedish Flower Hens and a box with Lav. Ameraucanas and BCM's. 45 eggs total.

Day 14 and nothing but dark blobs and a couple blood veins. Yay me looks like I will have a perfect hatch rate if I am shooting for nothing. This was my first attempt.
